Outstanding Service Earns Award of Excellence - two time award winner
CBSI wins coveted ATSI Award of Excellence
June 29, 2015, Concord, NH — CBSI has been honored with the exclusive ATSI 2015 Award of Excellence for the 2nd consecutive year. This award is presented annually by the Association of TeleServices International (ATSI), the industry’s Trade Association for providers of telecommunications and call center services including telephone answering and message delivery across North America and the UK. CBSI was presented with the award at ATSI’s 2015 Annual Convention held at Hilton Torrey Pines, La Jolla, CA.
Independent judges are contracted by ATSI to evaluate message services over a six month period. The scoring criteria includes:
- Response Time
- Courteousness of Rep
- Accuracy of Call
- Knowledge of Account
- Overall Impression of Call
“The ATSI Award of Excellence is the most prestigious recognition of exemplary customer service in our industry. Award recipients demonstrated the highest level of service throughout every aspect of a caller's experience – exceeding the award's rigorous criteria and customer service standards. It's quite an honor,” says ATSI President Jeffrey W. Zindel.
The award started 19 years ago as a means to improve the overall quality of the call centre industry by setting expectations and measurements to ensure a successful call handling experience.
Now a two-time winner CBSI earned the Bronze Award for two consecutive years. ATSI extends its congratulations to the staff of CBSI on their proven quality service to their customers.
The Association of TeleServices International was founded in 1942 as a national Trade Association representing live answering services. ATSI now encompasses companies across North America and the UK offering specialized and enhanced operator based services including: call centers, contact centers, inbound telemarketing (order entry), paging, voice messaging, emergency dispatch, fax, and internet services among others.
CBSI Yesterday
CBSI was founded in 1985 by Caroline Kurilec with help from an angel investor. After 20 years in the answering service industry, Caroline saw the need for and had a desire to build her own answering service focused on world class customer service. She took the best of what she learned from her many years of experience and began CBSI with just two clients. Her husband Mike, her daughter Beth and long-time friend Mary Lou were the first three employees. Within two years, the client list had grown from just two to several dozen small companies in the Atlanta area. Now, after more than 25 years in business, the account list has grown to more than 800, and the staff has grown from just four to more than 25. Many of Caroline’s original customers and staff from the 1980’s remain with the company today.
CBSI Today
In 2011, Jeff Anderson, Caroline’s son-in-law (Beth’s husband), acquired the controlling interest in CBSI held by the angel investor that helped Caroline start the business. Fortunately for Jeff, Caroline and Beth are still very active in the day to day operations of CBSI. Additionally, CBSI continues to retain great employees like Debi Vincent, Denise Pizzini and Mary Lou London who all joined CBSI in its early years.
Since acquiring CBSI, Jeff has implemented new technology, increased CBSI’s telecommunications bandwidth and expanded the staff to ensure that CBSI is able to meet the growing demands of its customers and maintain the commitment to high levels of service, the core principal upon which the company was founded.
